Koen Deforce

Koen Deforce is a geographer and works at the Flemish Heritage Institute (Brussels, Belgium) where he studies pollen, wood and charcoal from both natural deposits and archaeological sites. His main interests are the holocene landscape evolution of northern Belgium, the history and use of woody plants and the archaeobotany of medieval and post medieval urban contexts
