Birthe Stuijts
Birthe Stuijts received a computer as one of her Christmas gives in 1984- and so the addiction began. In 1988 she wrote her first Programme, a pc game in BASIC, and won a National Award for Programming. The names ZX Spectrum (with rubber keys), Sinclair ZX81 and Commodore Amiga 500 will make the hearts of many people beat fast with nostalgia.
In 1992 Birthe had the opportunity to visit CERN in Switzerland - the place where the internet was brought to life. In early 1996 Birthe Stuijts created her first website. Two years later, she used her knowledge successfully for the Internet marketing of an Europe-wide machinery manufacturer. Online with a 14kb modem, Netscape 2.0 and Windows 3.11, few people knew at the time what a browser or e-mail was, let alone Alta Vista or Excite. Google didn't even exist at the time. A good placement in the search engine was still a kid's game, as the whole Internet is still in its infancy.
In 2000, Birthe Stuijts founded her Internet agency in Germany with a focus on search engine optimization. Besides the creation of Internet pages existing pages have been optimized so that the search engines in the front rows were filled. Having witnessed the development of the computer and the Internet provided a great advantage in technical knowledge and optimization of sites for the search engines. While many still worked with WYSWYG editors such as FrontPage, Birthe Stuijts always focused on the clean source code and up to today still uses simple HTML editors herself to work with the source code, which is still beneficial.
Today, the team of ranketing GmbH have eight motivated people supplemented by a strong network and the complete range of services around Internet cover. Birthe Stuijts herself focuses mainly on providing advice and technical implementation of the search engine optimization.
Apart from working her hobby every day, she enjoys her family with two small girls and if she has a free day off, you can find her between old documents in an archive, as genealogy is her great passion.
